The event on Internet Security & Personal Data Protection was successfully completed.

On Wednesday, February 12, at 18:00, an educational event on “Internet Security & Personal Data Protection” was held in the event hall of the 15th Primary School of Lesvos.

The event was organized as part of the Safer Internet Day celebrations, aiming to inform parents and educators about online safety. The director of our lab, Professor Christos Kalloniatis, who is also a regular member of the Data Protection Authority, was invited as a speaker at this event. During his presentation, he highlighted the major risks associated with the internet and provided practical guidance for parents on protecting their children’s personal data.

Special emphasis was placed on raising awareness, implementing best practices for online security, and understanding users’ rights in the digital world. The active participation of parents was particularly encouraging, underscoring the importance of fostering awareness about internet safety
