Michalis Psallidas

Michael has a strong presence in the business world, serving for more than 15 years in high and C-Level positions both in the private and public sector. He is currently the co-founder and Managing Director of Crowdpolicy (www.crowdpolicy.com), which specializes in the design, development and implementation of CrowdSourcing and CrowdFunding initiatives and platforms, bridging the gap between organizations and the crowd and the co-founder and Managing Director of SocialBank, which specializes in the Financial Technologies Industry for Social and Development Banking. He has been involved in a wide range of organizations, institutions and start-ups in Greece and abroad. Indicatively, he has served as a Senior Consultant of the Vice President of the Greek Government in the fields of Public Information Systems (ICT) and Administrative Reform (2009-2012), Senior Consultant at Center for Renewable Energy Sources (2000 – 2004), Consultant at OPUS S.A., Internal Auditor at Information Society SA, co-founder and CEO at Protia SA and PROTIAGLOBAL (Hong Kong) in the consumer electronics industry. Michael holds a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering of the University of Patras and he is a PhD candidate at the National Technical University of Athens. He has also attended a programm in Public Sector Management at the National School of Administration in France (Ecole nationale d ‘Administration, Paris) and he currently attends the International MBA program of the Athens University of Economics and Business. From January 2018 he is a founding member and a member of the board of the Hellenic Blockchain Hub (http://blockchain.org.gr). His main interests include the development of entrepreneurial mindset, the way ICT disrupts traditional value chain creation, the CrowdX dynamics in a global context and the fintech.
