Successful Completion of Final Event

Cloud-InSPiRe final event at H.F.R.I.


On Monday, July 14, 2025, the final event presenting the results of the research project was successfully held at the premises of the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation (H.F.R.I.) in Athens.

The event opened with a welcoming address by Dr. Katerina Kouravelou, Director of H.F.R.I., who emphasized the importance of investing in scientific research and the need to support projects that promote innovation and social benefit. Following her, Associate Professor Stylianos Xanthopoulos, Vice Rector for Administrative and Academic Affairs at the University of the Aegean, highlighted the strategic significance of Cloud-InSPiRe as an interdisciplinary project combining technological solutions with social approaches for privacy management, and expressed gratitude to H.F.R.I. for its support of research initiatives.

The workshop featured detailed presentations of the project’s outcomes structured around five thematic sessions:

  • Cloud-InSPiRe: Structure, Progress, and Results

    Presented by Professor Christos Kalloniatis, Department of Cultural Technology and Communication, University of the Aegean.

  • Adaptive Privacy Protection Systems in Cloud Computing: State of the Art and Social Requirements

    Presented by Maria Sideri, Adjunct Lecturer, Department of Cultural Technology and Communication, University of the Aegean.

  • Technical Background: Requirements, Design, and Evaluation

    Presented by PhD Candidate Michail Pantelelis, Department of Cultural Technology and Communication, University of the Aegean.

  • Cloud-InSPiRe Beta Tool: Project Tool Presentation

    Presented by PhD Candidate Panos Mazarakis, Department of Cultural Technology and Communication, University of the Aegean.

  • Management, Dissemination, and Impact of Cloud-InSPiRe

    Presented by Postdoctoral Researcher Katerina Mavroidi, Department of Cultural Technology and Communication, University of the Aegean.

Attendees included members of the academic community, representatives from the private sector, and officials from H.F.R.I. The audience engaged actively with the presentations, participating in a lively discussion with questions and comments regarding both the project’s results and the future prospects for the Cloud-InSPiRe tool. The discussion underscored the project’s importance for privacy management in contemporary digital environments.

Concluding the event, Professor Christos Kalloniatis, Scientific Coordinator of the project, thanked the audience for participation, the project’s research team for their dedication, and H.F.R.I. for their funding support and for providing the venue.
