My Story

John Aliprantis is a PhD candidate of the Department of Cultural Technology and Communication, and his research focuses on the scientific field of Machine Learning.

In 2016, he graduated from the Master Program “Cultural Informatics and Communication” of the University of the Aegean, excelling in the direction of “Designing Digital Cultural Products”. In 2012, he graduated from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens.

In the past, he has worked as a designer, analyst and programmer of computer systems in companies and public agencies. He has participated in the design and construction of many websites, with excellent knowledge of design tools such as Photoshop and Illustrator, web technologies and programming languages including HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, JavaScript and Java, and content management systems including WordPress, Drupal, Joomla and PrestaShop.

He has published many articles in magazines and conferences related to his research interests, such as Internet Things, Framework Awareness, Semantic Web, Enhanced Reality, Linked Data and User Experience.
