The 19th International Conference on Human Aspects of Information Security & Assurance (HAISA 2025) was held from July 7 to 9, 2025, in Mytilene, with the PrivaSI Lab of the Department of Cultural Technology and Communication at the University of the Aegean serving as the host institution. Co-organized in collaboration with the International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP), HAISA 2025 attracted a wide international audience of researchers, academics, and cybersecurity professionals.
The conference focused on the human, organizational, and societal aspects of cybersecurity and digital privacy, addressing the increasingly complex interplay between technology, user behavior, and ethical governance. Over the course of three days, more than 120 peer-reviewed papers were presented across multiple sessions, covering topics such as AI-driven privacy tools, cyber-physical systems security, behavioral risk modeling, and digital trust.
Highlights included the keynote address by Associate Professor Aggeliki Tsohou (Ionian University), as well as a dynamic expert panel on the role of artificial intelligence in cybersecurity. The conference also included a cultural networking event in the historic town of Molyvos, offering participants an opportunity to experience the heritage of Lesvos.
The final session concluded with the official announcement that HAISA 2026 will be held in Örebro, Sweden. More information on the conference and future editions is available at: https://haisa.org.
